Stump solutions, clearly scoped

The right finish starts with the right questions.

Stump diameter is only part of the job. Gate width, slope, nearby structures, underground lines, grind depth, and cleanup all matter. We review those details first so your estimate reflects the work your property actually needs.

Helpful answers

Before the grinder arrives.

What is the difference between stump grinding and stump removal?

Grinding reduces the stump and accessible roots into chips below grade. Full removal excavates the root ball and usually creates a much larger hole. Grinding is typically the less disruptive option for established yards.

How deep will you grind?

Depth depends on the stump, soil, utilities, access, and what you want to do next. Tell us whether the area will become lawn, a planting bed, or part of a construction project so the scope can be quoted correctly.

Can you reach a fenced backyard?

Often, yes. Send a photo of the access path and measure the narrowest gate or passage. We confirm equipment clearance before scheduling.

What happens to the wood chips?

Grinding creates a mixture of wood chips and soil. Cleanup and haul-away options should be agreed upon in the quote, since volume varies significantly with stump size.

Do I need to locate utilities?

Underground utility location is an essential safety step. Georgia 811 should be contacted before digging or grinding where buried lines may be present; private lines such as irrigation or landscape lighting must also be identified.
