Surface Root Removal

Identify the tree, obstacle, and underground systems first.

Selected visible roots may be ground where site conditions allow. The first question is whether a root belongs to a living tree: removing structural roots can affect tree health and stability. Roots beside utilities, pavement, retaining walls, septic systems, and drainage also require a cautious, property-specific scope.

Send photos showing where the root begins, what it crosses, and any nearby tree. Mark public utilities through Georgia 811 and identify private irrigation, low-voltage lighting, invisible fencing, septic components, and drain lines. An assessment determines whether grinding is appropriate for that root and location.
